Ossuary, 2020

Ossuary was an installation created in 2020 and was on display at Ground Up Gallery in the Steinfeld Warehouse Arts Center from November 1 2020- November 30 2020. Drawing inspiration from the Capuchin Catacombs at Santa Maria della Concezione in Rome, I used skeletal remains of Sonoran desert plants in order to create a space where viewers could give reverence to our beautiful desert ecosystem, even (especially) in the process of decay.
